Remembering Br. Anthony Freeman

Br. Anthony Freeman was born in Houma, Louisiana in 1988. He studied at the apostolic schools in Center Harbor (2002 to 2003) and Colfax (2003 to 2005).

He entered the novitiate of the Legion of Christ in Cheshire in 2005 and made his first profession in September 2, 2007. He studied classical humanities in Salamanca, Spain , his bachelor´s in philosophy in Thornwood, USA and his master´s in philosophy in Rome.

He took a 3 three year internship in the United States working in the vocations ministry and fundraising before heading back to Rome.

In 2015 he began his studies in theology in Rome while residing in the Legion´s International College and would have been ordained a priest with this generation of legionaries.

About Br. Anthony:

-He authored the book One Step Closer: 40 Doses of Motivation, Hacks, and Experiences to Share with Millennial Catholics. Shortly after Rome Reports made a special report about the book and interviewed Br. Anthony.

– He was the Cross Bearer in mass for Pope Francis during Resurection Sunday on April 1st, 2018, in Saint Peter’s Plaza in Rome.
